Surface preparation
At Bullfrog Painting, we believe that better craftsmanship lasts longer. A properly prepared exterior surface will allow the paint to better adhere and gives the highest quality and longest lasting product.
Powerwashing
Clean all exterior surfaces to remove loose paint and surface dirt. Hand scrubbing and mild bleach and Tri-Sodium Phosphate solutions are also used to kill mildew and algae.
Scraping / Sanding
Scrape off loose paint and seal with primer to achieve the best results.
Caulking
It is important to fill all cracks, holes, and gaps on your exterior surface. Seal cracks around windows and doors to prevent the moisture from getting in and causing damage.
Primer
Seal up all bare wood surfaces with primer to ensure adhesion and a smoother surface for the finish coat.
Stain-Blocking Primer
Apply to block cedar bleed and/or tannins from bleeding through.
